About the Heritage Man

The sculpture honors the memory of the early pioneers and settlers who first came to this area seeking a better life and fertile soil; first broke the prairie sod; planted crops setting off an era of growth and prosperity that continues to thrive in this great community today.

About the Talent

Curt Mattson is a renowned sculptor and painter whose work captures the spirit and heritage of the North American Cowboy and Western horsemen, both past and present.

Deeply rooted in his own experience with ranch life and horsemanship, he creates historically accurate and emotionally resonant pieces in a variety of media. Through his art, Mattson aims to preserve and celebrate the timeless values of a time gone by.
